A journey began as one was seeming to end. I found myself back on the mat trying to calm and fix everything that was building and burning inside of me. Blindingly aware of feelings of unimportance to those who have come to mean so much to me, I reminded myself how amazing I am. In fact I remind others how amazing I am too. They don’t seem to notice or want to make me feel it. Day one has clearly defined why I am here and what I am seeking…which brings me to day two….

I went for a run on the evening of day 2 and got myself all worked up, fighting back tears. I gave myself chills on the treads. As I ran laps in thought around my situation, my relationship and feelings I thought to myself “I’m here.” I. am. here. I will not let you fall. I am here. I repeated this mantra until the tears were safely stored. Before bed last night in a tired stupor I wrote on my arm ”I’m here” with a heart, in sharpie. I woke up and read…. I am here. And thought….I will not let you fall. I am here. I remembered who took care of me last night. I felt amazing for having been there and been strong enough for two. I am here.

Tonight I hear my dad saying “go easy”
